The project responds to the famous request for proposals from the ambitious France Relance program that promotes energy renovation. A2M set forth and delivered a roadmap toward a building that could become self-sufficient and CO₂ neutral.
The existing building dating from the 1960s boasted a signature aesthetic that A2M proposed to modernize and help it meet the new challenges of tomorrow. The project was developed using parametric design tools anchored on building physics and Passive House strategies.
The University of Lille selected the design-and-build offer proposed by A2M together with Daum Architectes and Bouygues Bâtiment Nord-Est. Their new Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences aims at helping build the France of tomorrow through a sound contribution to the ecological transformation of the country.
