It all started with some major questions: is there still room for innovation in the dense European District of Brussels? How to redevelop a city block corner with a narrow plot in one of the European District’s busiest streets? What is the best way to highlight the presence of an office building today, one that meets the challenges of tomorrow by contributing to the sustainable redevelopment of this unique part of the city?

A2M’s winning competition proposed an original composition: parametric design guided by natural light to produce a signature facade made out of vertical blades which, all with a different angle, seek for daylight.
